Irene Barajas brings a decade of experience as a registered childcare provider and a deep commitment to the Nestucca Valley community. She has served on both the district’s budget and health committees and currently holds a seat on the school board. Now running to keep her position, Irene is dedicated to making sure our schools remain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming place for all students, staff, and families. Her experience and passion for education make her a trusted and thoughtful voice for our schools.
Seth Belsey is a longtime entrepreneur with 25 years of business experience and a strong connection to the local community through his work as a real estate agent over the past five years. A dedicated supporter of local schools, his business has proudly sponsored school athletics, and he actively contributed to the district’s 2024 strategic planning process. Seth is focused on improving school testing practices, strengthening school budgets, and ensuring the safety of all students and staff. His practical mindset and commitment to education make him a valuable asset to the Nestucca Valley School Board.
Marty Wisehart currently serves on the Nestucca school board and seeks to retain his seat. He brings a unique blend of leadership, healthcare experience, and community service to the Nestucca Valley School Board. With 10 years in restaurant management and 20 years as a radiology technologist, Marty offers a well-rounded perspective on teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving. He has been an active community member through his 10-year involvement with the Nestucca Community Alliance and as a co-founder of the nonprofit TORTA. Currently serving on the school board, Marty is committed to improving assessment outcomes, expanding career and technical education, and promoting critical thinking skills to prepare students for success in today’s complex world.
